Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure
means the way of the compassionate spirit and is a unique synthesis of:

        Traditional Japanese Acupressure Technique

       Taoist Philosophy

        Qigong exercises and Breathing techniques

        Reichian Segmental Theory

        Western Psychotherapy

Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure  is the only acupressure method that works consistently with the special energy channels called the "Strange Flows". Opening the Strange Flows rebalances the energy flows between all meridians. Acupressure is a 5000 year old Oriental system of healing which uses finger pressure to integrate the body, mind, and spirit.

Using gentle yet deep finger pressure on acu-points on the body, along with body-mind focusing techniques, the energy meridians begin to release and flow. This creates a feeling of "tingling" or "warming" as the areas of stress and tension begin to melt away. The client quite often will experience a deep trance like state of well being and balance. Frequently a feeling of floating is experienced. Often feeling  more supple and content after a session.

Because of the gentle non-intrusive nature of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure  it is helpful for those struggling with chronic pain and trauma.
